    通過實施“553城市提升計劃”，推進甌江口區域整體開放建設，規劃濱江商務區建設，使 建成區面積擴大到 153 平方公里，在舊城出現一個功能齊全、輻射全市的繁華商業中心區。在5.2平方公里范圍的城市中心區， 溫州博物館、溫州科技館、溫州會議展覽中心、溫州圖書館、溫州大劇院等 十大標志性建筑相繼建成。 預計 到2010年，中心城市建成區面積達到200平方公里，人口215萬，城市化水平達到60%以上。充分展現濱海山水文化名城的個性和魅力，成為宜居、宜商、宜創業的現代化城市 。

    Through the implementation of the “553 City Upgrading Plan” to promote the entire opening and construction of the estuary region of Oujiang River and to plan the construction of the riverside business center, the already built urban area has been expanded to 153 sq km. In the old urban area has appeared a busy commercial center with complete functions, radiating to the whole city. In the city’s central district with the area of 5.2 sq km, the ten landmark buildings have been successively built. They are the Museum, the Science-Technology Hall, the Convention and Exhibition Center, the Library, and the Grand Theatre. It is expected that by 2010, the already built urban area will have been expanded to 200 sq km, with a population of 2.15 million and the level of urbanization up to above 60%. With its uniqueness and charms as a famous scenic and cultural city along the coast, Wenzhou will become a nice modern city for residence, business and starting enterprises.

◎代表建筑 Representative Buildings
　　溫州世貿中心共72層，建筑面積超過25萬平方米，集商業、辦公、娛樂、觀光等功能為一體，是浙江第一高樓。
　　溫州華盟商務廣場樓高168米，共45層，擁有溫州目前唯一頂層空中停機坪，是溫州商貿區的一個中心標志。
　　The 72-storied World Trade Center of Wenzhou, with a floorage of over 250,000 square meters, is the highest building in Zhejiang Province, having multi-functions as business centre, office building, entertaining centre and a place for sightseeing.
　　 The 45-storied Wenzhou Huameng Business Square, with the height of 168 meters and Wenzhou’s only one top parking apron, is a central mark of Wenzhou business district.

◎城市環境 City Environment
　　截至2006年年底，溫州市區建成省級生態鄉鎮8個，市級71個，自然保護區4個，森林公園13個，自然保護覆蓋率19.8%，城市綠化覆蓋率達到34.29%。 2006年市 區已經建成煙塵控制區216平方公里，區域噪聲達標區68.9平方公里，市區環境空氣質量達到一級標準的有 82 天，達到二級標準的有273天。
　　By the end of 2006, Wenzhou had built 8 provincial-level and 71 municipal-level ecological villages and towns, 4 natural protected areas and 13 forest parks, with the natural protected coverage rate of 19.8% and the city’s green coverage rate of 34.29%. In 2006, the city put an area of 216 sq km under air pollution control and an area of 68.9 sq km under noise pollution control. Air quality has reached the first-class standard for 82 days and the second-class standard for 273 days in the year.
